Breckenridge: ‘Calming Kids Through Yoga’ workshop on Friday

On Friday, from 1-3 pm. Meta Yoga Studio, located at 118 S. Ridge St., in Breckenridge, is hosting a “Calming Kids Through Yoga” workshop.

Trainees will learn how to help K-12th grade children calm their energy, center and self-regulate using classical yoga techniques. The program presents a concrete system that utilizes breathing techniques, relaxation practices, concentration exercises, yoga poses, songs and dances. Participants will also learn useful calming techniques for themselves, which can enable them to become a more effective model for children.

The faciliator, Dee Marie, MA, CYT has been a yoga therapist for 23 years and trained with Shri Swami Rama. Workshop cost is $35/advance and $40/day of. To register, go to http://www.metayoga
