Breckenridge hiring next town spokesperson

Breckenridge is looking for its next communications and marketing coordinator, a position that pays between $47,476 and $65,699 annually, according to a job listing posted on the town’s website.

The position is tasked with handling the town’s communications, external and internal, while serving as the public information officer and working closely on marketing initiatives with the Breckenridge Tourism Office.

The opening is being created by the coming departure of Kim Dykstra, who’s been in the role for more than 14 years. Dykstra said she will remain with the town until Sept. 4 to help the new hire get acclimated to the job and ensure a smooth transition.

“We felt that consistency is important,” she said of the coming transition.

The communications and marketing coordinator works with other departments and town leadership, while helping develop the town’s initiatives for community engagement. For the complete job listing, go to .
