Broken Lance Drive in Breckenridge is slated to get $11.4 million worth of improvements through projects related to a culvert bridge, drainage and road improvements.

Town Engineer Shannon Smith told officials the projects were “complex” at a Jan. 14 Breckenridge Town Council meeting while briefly discussing the plans.

“I was just a little bit surprised at how much it costs,” Mayor Kelly Owens said, noting she had previously seen the projects presented separately as opposed to jointly, which boosts the price tag.

According to a staff memo from the Jan. 14 meeting, town staff members plan to develop online resources for residents and to host meetings to share more information.
