The Loosey Goosey Après Ski Group, which is part of the Summit County Senior Citizens Inc. in Frisco, recently honored the Breckenridge and Keystone 50-plus Ski With Us guided program volunteers.

According to the group, 15 volunteer guides were present at the Loosey Goosey celebration in honor of the complimentary guided programs which have been in existence since February 2009 at Keystone Resort and 2010 at Breckenridge Ski Resort.

Guest Services at each resort manage the programs, which provide guides for skiers of different ability levels at Breckenridge on Tuesdays and Keystone on Thursdays. At Breckenridge, the program’s volunteer leaders are Steve and Brenda Alberico and at Keystone it is Cathy Sapp.

Through these programs, the group says, a number of retirees have selected Summit County as the place they want to spend their time as a “snowbird,” and many of those same individuals that have found a guided ski day as a great benefit have ended up living full-time in Summit County and show up every week during the ski season at one of the 50-plus Ski With Us programs. Over 125 people often skiing with these groups.
