Breckenridge: ‘Masked Marvels’ unmasked on Tuesday

BRECKENRIDGE – The Imagination Express series, formerly known as Kidz Calliope, presents “Masked Marvels & Wondertales” on Tuesday, from 2-3 p.m. at the Riverwalk Center in Breck. This one-man extravaganza features breathtaking handcrafted masks, original stories, stilt dancing and the physical body to create a “moving sculpture”. A ‘Poet of the Stage’, Michael Cooper is an eye-popping visual artist and a virtuoso mime whose exquisite performances of humor, nimble speech and eloquent gesture have dazzled audiences of all ages for nearly 30 years. Cooper is dedicated to creating wholesome, uplifting entertainment that appeals to his audience’s humanity. The program is designed to encourage creativity, compassion and a greater sense of self-worth. His original masks and stilt characters are truly mythic in their dimensions.Imagination Express is an affordable family series presented by the Town of Breckenridge, featuring a variety of performances highlighting the best in children’s entertainment. These interactive shows can feature everything from live animals to bike stunts to theatre to music.
