Breckenridge offers free parking at town-owned lots until Nov. 19

Breckenridge will offer free parking in town-owned parking lots now through Nov. 19, according to the town.

Breckenridge has relaxed its parking fees to allow for free parking at town-owned lots for the next month.

On-street parking will remain paid during this time, according to the town, but there will be no charge for parking in any of the town-owned parking lots now through Nov. 19. On-street parking will remain paid because the town wants to encourage continued availability of those parking spaces, according to town staff.

The town implemented paid parking as a way to promote turnover, better control where people are parking and help ensure the availability of parking spaces.

People can pay for parking with credit cards at kiosks scattered around town or through an app on their smartphones. Paid parking is in effect daily, excluding mid-October to mid-November in the town-owned lots, when there is no charge.
