The Breckenridge Police Department says it helped arrest three individuals in connection with vehicle break-ins in Summit and Park counties.

The Breckenridge Police Department said in a news release Tuesday, Oct. 29, that multiple law enforcement agencies executed search and arrest warrants at a residence in the 100 block of Rock Spring Roads in the town of Blue River.

Police arrested a 35-year-old man, a 33-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman following an investigation into multiple reports of thefts from vehicles in Breckenridge as well as other parts of Summit and Park counties, the release states.

The 35-year-old man was arrested on charges of first-degree criminal trespass of a motor vehicle, identity theft to obtain things of value, unauthorized use of a financial transaction device and theft between $2,000 to $5,000, all felonies, according to the Breckenridge Police Department. He was also reportedly arrested on charges of criminal possession of a financial device and criminal possession of an identification document, both misdemeanors.

The 33-year-old man was arrested as an accomplice under Colorado’s complicity statute and on charges of unauthorized use of a financial transaction device and theft between $2,000 to $5,000, both felonies, according to the Breckenridge Police Department. He was also reportedly arrested on charges unauthorized use of an identification document, a misdemeanor.

The 31-year-old woman was reportedly arrested and charged as an accomplice under Colorado’s complicity statute.

The investigation into the reported thefts led police to the Blue River residence, where a search recovered numerous items that are believed to be stolen, the release states. The investigation is ongoing as agencies work to identify additional victims due to the large amount of stolen property recovered, according to the Breckenridge Police Department.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office, the 5th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, the Blue River Police Department, the Dillon Police Department and the Fairplay Police Department also reportedly assisted with executing the search and arrest warrants.

Law enforcement is asking anyone who believes they may be a victim or anyone who has additional information to call non-emergency dispatch to speak with a Breckenridge Police Officer at 970-668-8600.
