Breckenridge Town Party returns Friday

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

BRECKENRIDGE – The Breckenridge Town Party returns to the Riverwalk Center for its 16th year on June 18 from 4-9 p.m.

Mountain Standard Time kicks off the party with music at 4:30 p.m., and headliner Hot Buttered Run will perform at 6:30 p.m.

The party will offer food and drinks for a fee and outside alcohol is not allowed into the event. This is a no-pet event. Admission to the town party is free and open to the public.

New this year is a free bike valet service offered by the town’s Green Team and the Sustainable Breck project. The town photo will be taken at 5:40 p.m. from atop the Red, White and Blue Fire District’s ladder truck.

KSMT The Mountain will offer great prizes, giveaways and contests; tune in to 102.1 FM for full details. For the kids in the crowd, there will be a petting zoo in the Blue River Plaza and other activities brought to you by KSMT.

“The Breckenridge Town Party is a great way for locals to celebrate the beginning of summer. It’s phenomenal that the Town of Breckenridge has been throwing this free event for locals for 16 years, despite economic woes,” said Tim Gagen, Breckenridge town manager, in a press release.

Presented by the Town of Breckenridge, the party is sponsored by Beaver Run Resort, Colorado Mountain Express, KSMT, the Summit Daily News, The Parents Handbook-Summit County, RSN TV8, the fire district and SharpShooters.
