Brother Nathanael story in bad taste

Drs. Martin and Ruth S. Hertzberg
Copper Mountain

Your article (8/27/08) featuring the anti-Semitic lunacy of “Brother”” Nathanael is a grievous disservice to our community. It displays a continuing lack of sound taste and judgment on the part of the reporter who wrote the article and the editor who featured it on the front page. To feature the ignorant allegations of such a mentally deranged publicity seeker is not only an insult to the Jewish community, to all the other religious communities in Summit County, but also to the Russian Orthodox community. It seems that your reporter hasn’t bothered to contact the latter to determine how they feel about Nathanael’s views and his representation of their form of Christianity.

By giving him and his web-site the publicity he craves, you are complicit in promoting his message of hate and bigotry!
