BRECKENRIDGE – Breckenridge Police Department reported a burglary at 505 S. Main St. on Tuesday at 5:44 a.m., according to a case report.

Additional information on the reported burglary was unavailable as of press time.

Downtown Breckenridge has been the site of a handful of burglaries in 2010.

The first incident occurred at the old Dippin’ Dots Ice Cream kiosk at 421 S. Main St. in early January.

Mountain Outfitters was burglarized three times, with the suspect arrested the third time. Jason Oberg is scheduled for a felony hearing at Summit County District Court on Monday at 8:30 a.m. The first two Mountain Outfitters burglaries were in late February; the third was in mid-March, when Oberg was arrested.

Last fall, Breckenridge police reported a significant increase in residence and vehicle break-ins. The department responded to at least 20 such incidents between August and November – more than double the previous year’s number, according to a previous report.
