Alpine Banks of Colorado ranked national ‘Top Performer’

SUMMIT COUNTY ” The American Banker’s Association (ABA) ranked Alpine Banks of Colorado eighth nationally as a “Top Performer” in the June 2008, ABA Banking Journal magazine. The Banks were rated in the “non-S banks and thrifts greater than $100 million in assets” category. Alpine Bank is the only Colorado bank ranked in the top 25 for 2008 in this category, and has moved up substantially from 38th in 2007.

Recently, the ICBA (Independent Community Bankers of America) also listed Alpine Bank as one of their “Top 20” performers.



Construction well under way at Grand Lodge on Peak 7

Breckenridge ” Since breaking ground over a year ago, the developers of Grand Timber Lodge and Gold Point Condominiums have completed much of the construction on their newest resort, the Grand Lodge on Peak 7. The first phase of the resort is expected to open in May of 2009, followed by four more phases spread over a five-year period. Phase 1 will consist of 16 residences and include Soothe Day Spa, fitness facilities, grotto, indoor hot tub and Sevens Bar and Grill. There will be 21 residences in Phase 2 which will include the Grand Lobby, outdoor plunge pool with waterfall and slide, library and Porte Cochere. Phase 3 will bring 29 more residences on line as well as the remainder of the outdoor water amenities. Twenty six more residences will open up with the completion of Phase 4 and the final 21 residences are schedule to open at the end of Phase 5 in February of 2014.



Even though challenging winter conditions delayed the erection of the steel framework of Phase 1, construction at the Grand Lodge on Peak 7 is still on schedule. As of today, a portion of the roof has been completed, and workers have installed the electrical, mechanical and plumbing ” the “vascular network” of the building ” into the first two floors. The spa walls are complete, the theater has been added, and the exterior walls have been built. Window installation for Phase 1 was finished in April, and then work immediately began to erect the structural steel for Phase 2. In addition, pool work for the grotto has begun and the excavation for Phase 3 is nearing completion. All of the residences have been framed through the fourth floor of Phase 1. The Independence SuperChair lift towers have also been relocated about 500 yards down slope and the new section of Ski Hill Road is now open.

Dillon resident certified to provide comprehensive residential inspection services

A 16-year resident of Summit County, Anderson, 46, noted he brings both “hammer-swinging” and supervisory experience to construction over an 18-year period. “I am qualified to inspect pretty much everything that makes a house a home: the basic structure, exteriors, roofing, heating, plumbing, electrical service, air conditioning, etc.,” he said.

Anderson is an insured member of the National Association of Residential Real Estate Professionals, Inc., and follows the American Society of Home Inspector Standards.

He is also well known for his extensive ski-instruction experience in the area, currently as alpine training supervisor at Copper Mountain and serves as an alpine examiner of Professional Ski Instructors of America, Rocky Mountain Region. He coaches youth soccer for the High Country Soccer Association, based in Frisco.
