Q: What type of business do you operate what do you sell, or what service do you provide? A: We own a Hair Salon. We offer all hair services including cuts, color, extensions, up-dos, blow-out styles, etc. Q: Where are you from, and why did you decide to open your business in Summit County? A: Kat grew up in Denver and has lived in Breck for three years. She worked at Zoes Hair Salon before opening Roots. Amanda grew up in California and moved to Breckenridge two years ago. She worked at Alpine Spa and Salon before opening Roots. We opened in Summit because of the lifestyle that Summit County provides and to run our own business. Q: What experience do you have in this field?A: Kat has 11 years working in a salon and Amanda has 12 years working and owning salons in Washington State. Q: What sets your business apart from other similar businesses?A: We both are passionate about what we do for a living and very much enjoy making other people feel great about themselves. We always continue our education at hair shows and classes.Q: What types of customers do you hope to reach in Summit County?A: A combination of all types of clients; anyone who wants a fresh contemporary style. Were very consistent and want to make our clients comfortable and keep them looking great! Q: Why did you choose to open where you did?A: Beautiful space with great views. Were right on Main street Breck and easy to find. Q: What are your plans for your companys future? A: Wed like to be a successful small business in this community, maybe expand and hire more employees to give opportunity to other stylists.
