Crocs grand opening Friday in Silverthorne

The Outlets At Silverthorne is hosting a Crocs’ official ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday in the Blue Village.

There will be snacks, cake and refreshments served, and the public is welcome to join. To celebrate the opening, Crocs will have giveaways and scratch-off tickets with a chance to win 50 percent off a pair of shoes.

“Crocs has become a well-renowned brand, not only here in Colorado, but across the world. The Outlets at Silverthorne is proud to be able to offer our customers such a sought after name brand in footwear,” said Meredith Long, Outlets marketing and special events manager.

Crocs joined the Outlets at Silverthorne’s retail family in February of 2012 and made their home in the Blue Village next to J. Crew and Izod. The company, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, sells shoes featuring Croslite material that gives them lightweight and odor-resistant qualities.

“We are excited to have such community-minded retailer here in Silverthorne. Just recently Crocs pledged $5 for every pair of shoes sold in a week to the Aurora Victim Relief Fund. We are proud to have Crocs be a part of center,” said Jayne Esser, general manger of the Outlets.
