Frisco Workforce Center hosts job fair Thursday

Whether you’re looking for a career transition or struggling to make ends meet in between summer and winter jobs, the Summit County Winter Job Fair might help.

Recruiters from more than 20 businesses will be looking to fill more than 100 seasonal positions at the fair on Thursday, Oct. 23.

The winter hiring event, hosted by the Frisco Workforce Center, will be from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Silverthorne Pavilion, at 400 Blue River Parkway in Silverthorne.

Participating businesses will include Breckenridge Ski Resort, Keystone Resort, Breckenridge Grand Vacations, Colorado Mountain Express and Peak 1 Express.

The ski resorts, hotels and other companies will be trying to fill full-time and part-time positions, but Rosemary Pettus, director of the Frisco Workforce Center, said the event is more than a ski industry job fair.

Participate in The Longevity Project

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

“You can talk with employers about their year-round positions as well, including administrative office positions,” she said.

The center recommended job seekers come dressed professionally and prepared for on-the-spot interviews.
