Natural Grocers of Lakewood seeks IPO

Lakewood-based Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage said Monday it has filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission relating to a proposed initial public offering of its common stock.

The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined.

The company said a portion of the shares will be issued and sold by Natural Grocers and a portion will be sold by certain stockholders.



The company will apply to list the shares of common stock on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol of NGVC.

Natural Grocers is a speciality retailer of natural and organic groceries and dietary supplements.



The company has stores in 10 states: Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah, Wyoming and Texas. In Summit County, Natural Grocers operates a store in Dillon.
