State Representative Millie Hamner (D-Dillon) will be hosting a “Jobseeker Boot Camp” with the help of the Frisco Workforce Center from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20th, 2011 along with resume experts and local employers. The three-hour seminar will focus on resume writing and critiquing, completing online applications, finding job openings, and assessment testing and training, including Career Ready Certification.

The joint August business mixer of the Summit Chamber of Commerce and the Frisco Chamber of Commerce takes place from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Holiday Inn Sporting News Grill in Frisco. The groups are celebrating the grand re-opening of the Holiday Inn. A 6 p.m. drawing will select five business owners to be filmed at the mixer by Milton Dailey of Ranch & Resort TV. There will also be door prizes. Admission is $5 for chamber members, and $10 for non-members.

Lucky Brand Jeans has relocated to 227 R, Blue River Parkway in the Blue Village of the Outlets at Silverthorne. There are over 177 Lucky Brand Stores throughout America. The chain sells jeans, jackets, sweaters, dresses and accessories.
