The Lodge at Breckenridge reopens after multi-million-dollar renovation

After completing a $3.7 million renovation, The Lodge at Breckenridge will host a public reopening celebration.

Breckenridge residents and guests are invited to tour the property Friday, Dec. 5, during a free event from 4 to 7 p.m.

The evening will include free samples from the new Traverse Restaurant & Bar, raffles and giveaways, live music by the Pine Beatles and a christening by Ullr, the Norse god of snow.

The 45-room lodge made upgrades in guest rooms, suites and throughout the property. The lodge also is home to the new Traverse Restaurant & Bar, headed by chef Brent Turnipseede, formerly of Sweet Basil in Vail.

The lodge is owned by Guest Services, a Fairfax, Virgina–based company that employs more than 3,500 people at more than 250 facilities. The lodge will offer special early-season prices to celebrate the completed renovation.

Meta Yoga to offer classes

at new location in Frisco

Meta Yoga has partnered with Elevate CoSpace to offer 10 yoga classes a week at the Frisco coworking space.

One of the classes will be a Sunday-night apres-ski yoga class that should give Front Range skiers and riders another option besides sitting in traffic on I-70, said Amy Kemp, co-owner of Elevate CoSpace.

The coworking space, across the parking lot from Backcountry Brewery, will kick off its Sunday-night apres meetups and networking sessions in December, she added, and its owners are excited to incorporate more wellness activities with the business workshops and social events.
