Campbell wished to be remembered with a smile

Aldene “Dene” Handley Campbell of Breckenridge died Nov. 11, in Morrison in a nursing facility.

Born in Webb City, Mo., Feb. 14, 1917, she taught school 36 years in Picher and Commerce, Okla., and Kansas City public schools.

In 1979, she retired to the mountains of Breckenridge, where she wished to spend the rest of her life. For a number of years, she worked in the Breckenridge Resort Chamber information centers.



Survivors are a son, Robert L. Campbell of Glendale, Calif., three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She wished to be remembered with a smile.
