Caribou head mount stolen

BRECKENRIDGE – The Breckenridge Police Department hopes someone out there can help them find a caribou head.

The head mount was stolen from the Salt Creek Restaurant and Saloon some time between Sept. 21 and Sept. 26. According to a press release from the police department, Salt Creek employees took the mount off the wall during renovations and placed it on a stage in the restaurant. The mount is valued at about $2,500.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the caribou head is urged to call the police department at (970) 453-2941.
