Carlisle wanders off the mark

Terry ThoemKaty, Texas

I read columnist Marc Carlisle Sept. 30 opinion about the debates with interest. I actually thought he did a pretty “fair and balanced” column until the end. With your comment that if you want to see sparks “then watch the vice presidential debate, between a mean guy and a nice guy …” he not only showed his political preference but also defamed the vice president of the United States. To call Vice President Dick Cheney a “mean guy” is a disgrace to Carlisle, a cheap shot and an unprofessional remark. That makes his entire column suspect. I hope to see an apology.
