Carmela Schweer: Favors Park County school bond

Carmela Schweer

I am writing in support of the RE-2 school bond issue. Our family has had four young people graduate from South Park High School. They are very stable, productive people in their communities. It is very important to help further the education of the young people entering the school system. In order to present these students with a positive environment for learning, we need to keep up with the progress of the community. The price we pay in taxes for the new buildings is small compared to the benefits to the students entering our schools, and to the future of our community. If the students have pride in their schools, they will have pride in their community and themselves.

I have lived here for 33 years, own a business in the town of Fairplay, and have been employed locally for 16 years. It is my desire to see this community thrive and grow.
