Carol and Dana Christiansen: 3B a good investment for Summit Schools

Voting “yes” on 3B will prevent deeper cuts in the classroom and will lower your taxes.

If voters approve the $2.1 million mill levy override, the tax rate paid by homeowners will actually go down next year by about $20 per $100,000 of a home’s market value. This is because the capital projects mill levy that voters approved in 2007 expires this year. This small investment will keep our neighborhood schools from closing and teachers from losing their jobs – a huge return for a nominal investment.

Our schools are at a tipping point. Be part of the solution and vote yes on 3B.
