Cathy Johnson: Can’t afford to live here? Move elsewhere
April 13, 2009
Why should any of us have to be responsible for workers to play and enjoy living in Frisco or anywhere else? The companies who hire these individuals, be it schools, hospitals, city services, recreation areas or restaurants need to increase their wages. Why should we subsidize their employees just so they can continue to make a profit? If corporations and any other companies want workers, then let them shell out their money. Supply and demand. And if someone can’t afford to live here, then don’t move here.
As far as the disputed land parcel, it only seems fair that those affected by the changes should be the ones to vote, not someone who lives on the other side of town. Other towns and cities have precincts to protect the homeowners.
