CDOT to close stretch from S’thorne to Eisenhower Tunnel again tonight

SILVERTHORNE – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is closing eastbound Interstate 70 tonight for the overnight hours.Eastbound I-70 will close to all traffic at the Silverthorne/Dillon exit (No. 205) at 10 p.m. The highway will reopen at 4 a.m. During the closure, traffic will be detoured onto U.S. 6 over Loveland Pass, returning to I-70 just east of the Eisenhower Tuneel.Safety considerations require the highway closure since a large variable message sign is being installed over the highway, just west of the tunnel entrance.Hoosier Pass delays and closures CDOT is upgrading a three-mile segment of State Highway (SH) 9 on the north side of Hoosier Pass. Daytime project hours are 6 a.m. to 8 p.m, Monday-Thursday, and 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays. Expect daytime delays up to 20 minutes. Vehicles wider than 10 feet will not be allowed through the work zone. Also scheduled are overnight closures beginning Sunday, June 11. The Pass will close to all traffic between 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday-Thursday for culvert replacement. This operation will continue through Friday, June 30. Waiting traffic will be allowed over the pass at 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. each night.For more information, contact Michael Voxakis at (303) 512-5762.
