Celebrate the first day of autumn with a nature hike Wednesday

A Breckenridge Nature Series hike takes place from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cucumber Gulch in Breckenridge to commemorate the first day of autumn.Participants will learn how gray jays, pine squirrels, beavers and bears prepare their winter stores for colder months to come.This is an all ages, easy 2-mile hike through forest and wetlands. Participants should meet at the Breckenridge Nordic Center by 5:45 p.m. The suggested donation is $6 a person and $20 a family and advance registration is recommended.
