Centura Health launches interactive healthcare pricing and quality tool

Centura Health, the nonprofit parent of St. Anthony Summit Medical Center, recently launched an online pricing and quality comparison tool to empower consumers making healthcare decisions.

Consumers go online when shopping for large purchases like a house, car or airline flight, and Centura’s tool will inform them about healthcare at its hospitals in a similar way.

“We are committed to delivering on our promise to enhance the value of health and meet consumers wherever they are in their personal health journey,” said Gary Campbell, Centura Health’s president and CEO, in a written statement. “We know our consumers are actively searching for quality and price information to help them make more informed value-based health decisions and it is our responsibility to deliver solutions that exhibit leadership and diligence to ensure integrity in the value we provide.”

The online tool includes:

Prices by region for the top 65 inpatient and outpatient procedures for self-pay individuals

The ability to request a custom quote to bring better clarity and understanding of the health care expense in advance of services

An interactive report that shows how hospitals within the Centura Health system compare in caring for patients as well as a survey of patient satisfaction

Details about financial assistance and Centura Health’s commitment to charity care.
