Chamber music fans enjoy concert

Local chamber music fans were treated to an evening concert recently at the home of Jane Mudd in Silverthorne.

The Alpenglow Chamber Music Festival proudly presented its 2009 and 2010 scholarship winners Luke Fatora and Dax Kellie in a joint concert for a group of 40 friends and supporters of the annual festival.

Kellie, a recent graduate of Summit High School, is the 2010 recipient of the Alpenglow scholarship; Fatora, a 2009 graduate of SHS, was the recipient of the scholarship last year. and has completed his first year at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Kellie, on piano, began the program followed by Fatora on violin. The concert ended with the musicians performing together.

The Alpenglow Festival featuring visiting professional musicians will be held Sept. 14-19 various venues in the county.
