Chamber music festival a success again

John Palsedge

Thank you to our community sponsors, volunteers and contributors for making this 15th season the best ever. The board of directors of the Alpenglow Chamber Music Festival is thrilled at the response of Summit County music lovers to a most exciting season under the artistic direction of Reiko Aizawa and Jesse Mills.

Concertgoers welcomed seven outstanding professional musicians whose performances both entranced and challenged listeners. The ensemble presented outstanding performances of classic repertoire as well as offerings of newer works in each of the four concerts.

Just as we thank our audiences for supporting this extraordinary music, we also pay tribute to our outgoing chair of the board of directors, Evie Lau. For six years she has with her fantastic leadership guided Alpenglow to a prominent position of excellence in the cultural life of Summit County.

A special thank you to our soiree hosts Kevin McLean and Mike Ragsdale, Melissa and Ken Rice for generously offering their homes and providing the intimate setting in which this music was meant to be played. Thank you.
