Child-care assistance available

The Reading Early Always Learning (REAL) Project has money available for parents in need of help to pay for child care. The application deadline is Aug. 20. Families living or working in Summit County and with children ages of 0 to 5 are eligible to apply.The purpose of the REAL Assistance Program is to allow working families access to quality early care and education programs for their young children. To date, the program, funded by a grant from the Federal Child Care Bureau, has awarded over $80,000 in assistance. Families interested in applying should contact Elizabeth Lowe at (970) 513-1170, ext. 305.Applications must be completed and turned in to Early Childhood Options by 5 p.m. on Aug. 20.
