Children’s gardening class set

A children’s gardening class is set for today, Aug. 17 and 31 at Silvana’s Garden in Silverthorne. The class will be taught by Phyllis Raynor, master gardener and 4H Leader. Children will be planting, tending and harvesting the gardens at each class meeting. A watering schedule will be set up for all the children to take responsibility for days to water. Children will learn about seeds – watching them germinate. In class, there will be a review plant parts and functions. The age group is 5-15. This class is a mixture of ages. The older ones help the little ones. Space is limited. Register your children early. Please call or e-mail Joanna Rybak to register: (970) 453-9333 or
