Children’s hospital blood drive held in Breck

Grand Timber Lodge and Valdoro Mountain Lodge will host the 6th Annual Children’s Hospital Blood Drive June 7-8. The blood supply at Children’s Hospital is used for youth undergoing surgery, patients receiving treatment for cancer or other diseases, and accident victims. Founded in 1908, Children’s Hospital is a private, nonprofit pediatric healthcare network located in Denver that is dedicated to caring for kids. Blood donors must be at least 17 years old, in good health and must weigh at least 110 pounds. The hours for the drive are from 2-6 p.m. on Wednesday and 8-10:30 a.m. on Thursday. The event will take place at the Breck Inn, located at 11078 Highway 9 in Breckenridge. Call (970) 453-8883 to schedule a donation appointment.
