Children’s Museum is worth keeping in Breckenridge

I am saddened and distressed to see the Mountain Top Children’s Museum Inc. had to move from its location at Main Street Station.

My family and friends looked forward to spending our weekends there. The art shows, shopping and dining are an adult’s delight. Unfortunately, children don’t share that enthusiasm.

The Children’s Museum was such a nice compromise. From face painting to exploring bear caves, there was always something to make kids smile and have fun.

I also realize a bigger loss is in store for the community of Breckenridge if this nonprofit organization cannot find a home in our town.

I wish we could always count on having the Children’s Museum in our town so everyone’s children – visitors and locals – can look forward to a fun-filled adventure.

I know this can be a win-win for our community and the Children’s Museum. If anyone has any ideas, please step forward. It takes a “village/kingdom” to raise our children to be the best they can be.

They are filled with so much hope and dreams and by exploring the world we live in they can build an even better world. They are our future.
