Christmas Ball to be held in Fairplay Saturday
December 5, 2005
The South Park Sertoma Organization is holding its 11th annual Victorian & Cowboy Christmas Ball on Saturday from 7:30 p.m. to midnight at the Fairplay Hotel in Fairplay. Musical entertainment will be provided by the 4th Artillery Quadrille Ensemble and dance instructions will be given. Victorian or pre-1900 Cowboy attire is required. Admission is by advance reserved tickets only for $35 per person. This entitles ticket holders to the full evening’s entertainment and hors d’oeuvres. This year’s proceeds will benefit the South Park Salvation Army. For tickets and costume information, contact Jerry LiPuma at (970) 453-5869 in Summit County, or Chuck and Annie Monsen at (719) 836-1535 in Fairplay. Costumes for the event are available through Saunders Rentals out of Colorado Springs for $40 for the evening. Call John or Eva Juxwiak at (719) 227-9661 to reserve an outfit. They will bring all of their rentals up to Fairplay the day before and costumes can be returned in Fairplay. They will take care of transporting them and cleaning them. The South Park Sertoma Organization holds other fundraising events throughout the year, such as the Burro Days Beer Garden in July, the Park County Rodeo Beer Garden in August, the Sertoma Rummage Sale, Best in the West in September and finishes the year with the nationally known Victorian and Cowboy Christmas Ball in December. South Park Sertoma is a non-profit organization benefiting special interest charities.
