Citron: They’ll join the high fliers!

Lisa and Jeff Citron, Silverthorne

Summit County has been blessed with one of the most forward thinking, progressive and innovative alternatives for providing the new-world education our children require and deserve today. As the end of inaugural year of The Peak School approaches, the “experiment” that the first group of Peak students have bravely undertaken has proven to be an overwhelming success. As the proud parents of the youngest Peak School student, my wife and I have found the small class sizes, personalized teaching style, and the curriculum ideally matched to the needs of our child. Indeed, there is no question that The Peak School is the ideal fit for any child, from those who may have experienced learning challenges that have made them less open to learning to those who have an innate thirst for knowledge. This school is not only preparing our children for the challenges of college and careers but is also creating compassionate and enthusiastic community members.

If it were free, I cannot imagine anyone not wanting their child to experience what our daughter has over the past 7 months. The financial strain is a challenge that many of The Peak School families are not taking lightly, but the benefits far outweigh the sacrifices. The way our family has looked at it is that the cost of our daughter’s future, which realistically equals what we paid for her day care as an infant, is well worth the investment and the personal sacrifices we have made. It might be hard for some to justify paying for education, especially since we are already paying for public education through our taxes, but there is no value that can be placed on providing the absolute highest level of education for our children. Financial assistance is available, locking in now guarantees a set price for the duration of your child’s education, and those who say they cannot afford it today should take a look as you never know what the future may bring! As the school continues to grow and make its mark in our community we can’t wait to see what kind of amazing adults the Peak school will produce. Oh, the places they will go.
