Civil Air Patrol meets in Summit

With several members in Summit County, Civil Air Patrol’s Evergreen Composite Squadron has authorized holding two meetings a month in Summit County. The purpose of this is to provide a safe way for members to attend meetings without risking the drive down I-70 in bad weather or driving with excessive fatigue after a long day.The Silverthorne Elks Lodge hosts the Civil Air Patrol on the first and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Meetings start at 7 p.m. and finish at 9 p.m. Testing for members is offered at 6:30 p.m. on the meeting nights. Meetings are open to all.Each meeting will have an aerospace education and a leadership component. The aerospace education components will involve hands-on activities as well as discussions.
