CMC Corner

Special to the Daily

If you are a local business owner who pays employees for travel time, mileage, hotel rooms and meals so they can attend professional seminars in Denver or farther, read on …

Professional training seminars are available in Summit County.

Colorado Mountain College offers the same timely topics such as Conflict Management, Rapid Decision Making, Leadership Development, Time Management, Succession Management, Customer Service, Targeted Selection for Hiring and more.

In many cases, our instructors are the same folks that lead workshops in Denver.

Workplace Training and Professional Development, a program of Colorado Mountain College, is designed to be a community partner and resource for area businesses and organizations.

By researching, developing and delivering effective training programs, we can help you overcome some of the obstacles standing in your way to success.

Employees who possess the right “tools,” are better able to manage themselves, their staff and their customers. It’s a win-win-win situation.

CMC holds the license to many nationally recognized and very popular training programs, including Development Dimensions International (DDI), Achieve Global, Franklin Covey and more.

Most of these programs can be held at your site, at one of our 12 campus sites or in a retreat atmosphere.

We have access to a large number of training topics and professional resources. A few of our most requested topics include:

– Spanish for the Workplace

– Communication Skills

– Generational Differences in the Workplace

– Ethics in the Workplace

– First Aid

– OSHA certification

– Computer Training

Colorado Mountain College has recently partnered with Development Dimensions International (DDI) which enables us to bring world-class leadership, workforce and customer service training programs to Summit County.

This partnership allows CMC to contribute to the business growth and success of Summit County by providing the best training and development resources to local businesses.

CMC’s Workplace Training and Professional Development is partnering with Noble Ideas to sponsor a Training Showcase from 8:30-11 a.m. on June 17.

We have selected two of the most popular training topics from Development Dimensions International (DDI): Interaction Skills for Success and Rapid Decision Making will be offered as an abbreviated session for your review.
