Cole Currier: A plea for cleaner campaigning
Breckenridge
I am a freshman at Summit High School and although I cannot vote yet, I still see all the political ads. I must say that every year it appears that the ads become more and more about the things that your competitor did than what the person plans to accomplish themselves. If everybody says the other is so bad, and since everybody does it, how do we judge who is really going to work for us? In the future, I feel that if the senators and representatives really want our support they should be honest and tell us why they deserve our vote.

As a Summit Daily News reader, you make our work possible.
Summit Daily is embarking on a multiyear project to digitize its archives going back to 1989 and make them available to the public in partnership with the Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection. The full project is expected to cost about $165,000. All donations made in 2023 will go directly toward this project.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference.
