Colorado doctor invited to State of the Union

DENVER – A Colorado doctor who created a health care app will among those sitting with the first lady during President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address on Tuesday.

Peter Hudson of Evergreen is the co-founder and CEO of iTriage. He used government data to create an app people can use to find health care providers to treat them based on their symptoms. It can also be used to store their personal health records and learn about medications, diseases and procedures to help users make better decisions about their health care.

The mother and uncle of a teenager who was killed in the Aurora movie theater shooting, AJ Boik, will also be attending the speech after getting tickets from Reps. Ed Perlmutter and Diana DeGette.
