Colorado scores 9 of 10 on pandemic preparedness

DENVER ” A national report gives Colorado a score of nine out of 10 on preparedness for a public health emergency.

But the report by the Trust For America’s Health says Colorado is one of only seven states that haven’t stockpiled antiviral drugs in case of a flu pandemic.

The report was issued Tuesday.

Colorado met the report’s other nine indicators, ranging from emergency plans for distributing medicine to spending on public health.
