Comfort Dental accepting Medicaid

Comfort Dental in Silverthorne is now accepting Medicaid. Adults eligible under the program can receive emergency dental care. Children enlisted in the program, up to the age of 21, can visit for comprehensive care and braces.

Dr. Lorraine Loustalet of Comfort Dental said they are the only dental office in Summit County to accept Medicaid. She said the next closest offices are in Denver.

Loustalet said she and her partner, Dr. John Rollow, have wanted to offer Medicaid since the opening of the office in 2007. Both doctors are familiar with the program from previous practices. Loustalet said it has been “an uphill battle” to be able to provide it, but they are happy to have it.

“We wanted to be able to provide it for the community,” she said.
