4th of July train ride
Kids! ride in a cute train in the Frisco Fourth of July Parade. It’s free. The Alliance for Historical Preservation entry includes a child-sized train that needs riders! KSS Volunteer Days
Keystone Science School welcomes volunteers to help on a remodel project July 10, July 25, Aug. 1 and Aug. 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. If landscaping is your passion, we can coordinate dates to meet your schedule. Ribbon-cutting at Ruby Jane today
Owners of Valleygirl open new Breckenridge boutique. Ruby Jane is a new boutique offering home décor, clothing, gifts, jewelry and more. They will be having a Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening today from 5-7 p.m. The celebration will include snacks, refreshments and a ribbon cutting by the Breckenridge Resort Chamber. The Summit Choral Society, under the direction of Dr. Jill Schroeder-Dorn, is currently rehearsing for its summer program. They recently performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City, singing the Brahms Requiem. The current program is of lighter music, including songs of New York and Broadway. Rehearsals are Mondays from 7-9 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Farmers Korner across from the high school. We do vocal exercises and work on music for our current program. GED prep at CMC
Colorado Mountain College offers GED preparation classes at the Dillon campus on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and Monday and Wednesday evenings. Register now for the next five-week session beginning today at 7 p.m. or Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $30 for the entire five-week session. There are five content areas to complete the GED: mathematics, reading, writing, science and social studies. CMC teachers can help you to prepare to successfully earn your GED!
Breckenridge Summer Beer Festival
The National Repertory Orchestra has put out a call for volunteers for the 2013 Breckenridge Summer Beer Festival. The event, held on Saturday, July 13, from 1-6 p.m. on Ridge Street in Breckenridge, is a benefit for the NRO. Shifts will be from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 3-6 p.m. Jobs include perimeter watch, ticket sales, wrist band help, brewer maintenance help and information distribution.
