Colorado Mountain College invites the community to attend Friday’s “Hoop’s Roast and Toast,” a farewell party for retiring Summit Campus Dean Tim Hoopingarner.



The event takes place at the Keystone Conference Center, starting at 6 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and cash bar, followed by a roast from 7-10 p.m., hosted by master of ceremonies Jay Bauer.

Breck street closures

BRECKENRIDGE – Breckenridge streets and parking lots will be closed at times this weekend due to the 30th annual Vettes on the Rockies.

Saturday

n 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., Stephen C. West Ice Arena: Easternmost portion closed due to Funkana.

n 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunbeam Road, southbound: Minimal impacts. Up to 10 Funkana participants may be parked along the edge in anticipation of their runs. This is the secondary waiting area. The first is in the eastern portion of the ice arena parking lot.

Sunday

n 2 a.m. to 4 p.m., Main Street closed from S. Park Avenue to Ski Hill Road for street show.

n 2 a.m. to 4 p.m., Washington Avenue closed from Main Street to French Street for concept cars and family entertainment area (local traffic allowed from French to Ridge).

n 2 a.m. to 4 p.m., Ridge Street closed from Adams Avenue to Lincoln Avenue for street show.

n 2 a.m. to 4 p.m., Barney Ford Lot closed due to Ridge Street closure. 

n 2 a.m. to 4 p.m., Upper Exchange Lot closed due to Ridge Street closure. 

n 6 -10:30 a.m., French Street closed from Main Street to Park Avenue for registration.

n 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., Alleys: Two-way between Main, Ridge, Lincoln and Adams due to street show.

Attention class of “93

The Summit High School class of 1993 reunion is being planned for 6:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Inn at Keystone. If you are or know a “93 graduate, please contact Jessica Lincoln-Lundberg at (719) 671-8396 for details.

The whereabouts of several graduates is unknown, and any help finding them would be appreciated.
