Breck film festival seeks people for board of directors

BRECKENRIDGE – The Breckenridge Festival of Film seeks individuals to fill vacancies on its board of directors. Inquiries are invited from those who could serve as full-time board members as well as in advisory capacities for specific issues and projects.



Letters of interest may be sent to the board of directors membership committee, Breckenridge Festival of Film, P.O. Box 718, Breckenridge, CO 80424. Contact the Film Festival at (970) 453-6200 with any questions or to obtain additional background on the organization and its programs. Letters are requested by April 1.



Building departments offer building code training classes

SUMMIT COUNTY – The Building departments of Summit County are sponsoring educational seminars on the newly adopted codes. Registration forms are available at each of the departments, and the location for both classes is the Summit County Senior and Community Center, 1051 Peak One Blvd., Frisco.

The first of these will provide an introduction to the new provisions of the 2000 International Building Code, preparing contractors and designers for multifamily dwelling and commercial construction. It will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 28. The cost for the class is $35, which includes a box lunch, coffee and soft drink breaks. All checks can be payable to the Summit County Building Department at the time of registration. Registration deadline is March 25. Code books will be available for purchase.

The second class will cover more of the revisions made to the 2002 National Electrical Code. It will be held on April 15 from 1-5 p.m. Coffee and soft drink breaks will be provided, and no fee will be charged. Bring your 2002 NEC code books.
