Continental Divide Land Trust announces new Parade of No Homes

This summer, Continental Divide Land Trust will celebrate the protected open spaces and natural resources of Summit County through two exciting events.

On Aug. 15, CDLT invites our community to join in the first ever Parade of No Homes and the sixth annual Friends of Open Space Party.

The new Parade of No Homes event features a driving tour of conservation easements and protected lands along the Lower Blue River on the morning of Aug. 15.

This event will highlight the open and protected spaces of this beautiful section of our county and provide education about various land conservation tools.

The parade will offer select stops featuring a land docent and artists. At the stops, local and regional artists will be painting on location.

Event participants will be able to view the artwork as it is produced. All artwork will be on display and available for purchase that evening at the Land Trust’s sixth annual Friends of Open Space Party at the Silverthorne Pavilion.

The Friends of Open Space Party is a celebration of our community’s land and natural resource preservation efforts and successes.

The event features food and drink, live music, a silent auction, kids’ activities and the display and sale of artwork created during the Parade.
