Contributions needed for Heather LaRue

Last week, 33-year-old Heather LaRue was rushed via Flight For Life from her home in Farmer’s Korner to a hospital in Denver after suffering a ruptured kidney. She is currently in the intensive care unit at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Denver, and is still unconscious. Her ruptured kidney has been removed, but her prognosis is uncertain.LaRue’s husband, Dave, an auto mechanic, has taken time off from work to be at her side. The couple has two children, Cody, 14, and Kade, 9.LaRue’s co-workers at Southern Exposure Salon in Dillon have set up a fund to help defray the medical and insurance costs, as well as house payments and other household expenses for the stricken family. “Heather is such a fun-loving, giving person,” said salon owner Deanna Sheehan, who set up the fund. “She’s very well-known in the community here. We hope that this will help the family with some of the costs.”Contributions are being accepted at the WestStar Bank in Dillon or at Southern Exposure Salon.
