Controlled burn to take place near Breckenridge Tuesday

Local firefighters will assist with a pile burn on private property north of Breckenridge Tuesday. The burn is set to take place at Red Tail Ranch, north of Breckenridge off Highway 9. The ranch has 300 acres of beetle kill lodgepole pine to be burned. Ignition will begin around 11 a.m. and continue until around 3 p.m. Smoke will be visible throughout the day and into Wednesday.
