COPPER MOUNTAIN – There’s no waiting in the liftline at Copper’s Alpine Lift on Mondays through Thursdays, but this isn’t the proverbial hidden powder stash privy to only a few lucky skiers and riders. Copper Mountain has closed the lift four days a week.Katelin Hill, spokesperson for Copper Mountain, said the demand among skiers and riders for the lift to be open seven days a week just isn’t there. According to Hill, all A-lift trails are still open, and the expert terrain is still accessible even though the Alpine Lift is closed during the week. The lift is open on weekends.Skiers and riders can reach the terrain from the Super Bee lift and can traverse skiers left back to the lift near the bottom of the A-lift runs.Visit for updated trail and lift status reports from Copper Mountain.
