Copper kicks off En Fuego

COPPER MOUNTAIN – En Fuego will begin heating up Copper Mountain Saturday, as the resort kicks off the season-long, sizzling street party for the entire family. En Fuego begins the festivities Saturday at the Village at Copper with nightly entertainment including a performance by the Denver-based, high energy stomp and dance group, Rythergy. Saturday’s celebration also will include a Ski and Ride School torchlight parade, gigantic bonfire and fireworks show over the mountain. En Fuego will take place on 15 select Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights through April 2005. Past En Fuego parties have included a fiery drum show, fire juggler and nighttime big air shows by Copper’s Freeride team off the “Hollywood Hit.” This season, En Fuego grows to include more live performances featuring Pele fire dancers, BMX stunt shows and more, providing conclusive proof of life after the lifts shut down. For more information, visit, or call (800) 458-8386 ext. 4INFO.
