Copper Mountain Resort set to open on Friday after significant snow storms

Copper Mountain Resort has received a massive amount of snow to begin the month of November, receiving 28 inches since Sunday, Nov. 3.

The onslaught of snow is expected to give way to prime conditions when Copper welcomes guests back for the 2024-25 season on Friday, Nov. 8.

On opening day, the American Eagle lift will start spinning for first chair at 8:55 a.m. While waiting in line for the lift, free hot chocolate will be handed out as music is performed by DJ Landry. The first 50 skiers and riders in the American Eagle lift line will get a custom Yeti Yonder water bottle.

Opening day terrain will include Rhapsody, Fairplay, Main Vein and the Easy Rider learning area. Additionally a Woodward Copper American Eagle terrain park will be open to the public with roughly a dozen features.

At the top of the American Eagle lift, a party will be taking place on the Aerie deck from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
