Copper Mountain to celebrate 40 years in bikinis

With Easter arriving especially early this year, local resorts are making a strong push with spring skiing, inviting skiers and snowboarders to come enjoy a host of events through the months of March and April.

At Copper Mountain, spring will bring back the Eenie Weenie Bikini contest in honor of the resort’s 40th anniversary. The event began in 1986 drawing national attention. It’s return to the mountain this year is timed to coincide with Copper’s Saint Patrick’s Day O’Fuego festivities.

Competitors will ski or ride from the base of the Main Vain superpipe into the plaza in swimwear, ahead of a live music performance and green fireworks display over the lake.
